Summary

Information technology management student and endpoint support technician at Boise State University. Have imaged 600+ Windows and macOS devices, closed 400+ Tier 2 incidents, and documented 1,000+ network ports across campus. Interested in endpoint management, identity and access, and network operations, with hands-on lab work in Linux administration and segmentation.

Experience

  1. Student Technical Support Specialist 2 — Endpoint Services

    Aug. 2024 — Present

Boise State University, Office of Information Technology Boise, ID

    • Imaged and deployed 600+ university Windows and macOS devices using Microsoft SCCM, configuring enterprise software packages, network printers, mapped network drives, and user data transfers.
    • Resolved 400+ Tier 2 endpoint incidents in ServiceNow with a 100% ticket closure rate, documenting detailed root-cause troubleshooting workflows and technical resolutions.
    • Mapped, audited, and documented 1,000+ physical network ports and switch locations across campus buildings, partnering with Network Operations on port activations and Poly VoIP phone deployments.
    • Administered Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs), troubleshot BitLocker pre-boot PIN configurations, and managed approved local administrator access requests.
    • Patched roughly 30 Dell enterprise laptops with updated ControlVault firmware drivers to remediate a critical security vulnerability.
    • Maintained hardware asset inventory in Lansweeper, authored internal technical knowledge base articles, and coordinated equipment decommissioning and salvage documentation.

  2. City of Boise 3-tier campus network architecture

    Fall 2026

    Network design

    • Designed a hierarchical Core/Distribution/Access network across 4 campus hubs and 5 segmented VLAN subnets (VLAN 10–50) with standardized Building-Floor-Department-Node naming conventions.
    • Engineered a dual-firewall DMZ perimeter (web, email, DNS, and NAT servers) with 100 Gbps fiber core links, 10 Gbps distribution trunks, and redundant Sparklight Fiber and Verizon WAN failover.
    • VLAN design
    • DMZ
